STNAs Are Our Backbone
June 28, 2023
Tuscany Gardens had a fun time celebrating State Tested Nursing Assistants Week! Nursing Aide jobs started during World War I when the American Red Cross started the Volunteer Nurses’ Aide Service program. Today, they are the foundation of our facility and put their all into the care they provide our residents. To honor their dedication and hard work in a fun way, we put together a Spirit Week. We started with Team Spirit Day, where our teams were encouraged to wear their Tuscany Gardens t-shirts. Next, everyone was encouraged to support their favorite sports team, which allowed everyone to wear their team’s gear.
STNAs enjoyed a cookout and, our favorite, Tie Dye Friday (our version of casual Friday)! One of our sister facilities was kind enough to come and share instructions and supplies for the event. We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s new designs this Friday. We finished out the celebrations with Pajama Day and Taco Tuesday which were kindly supplied by Bella Care.
We appreciate our STNAs so much. Our staff had some kind words to say, which included,
“They are wonderful and exceptional,” and
“They do an outstanding job.” Our STNAs are hard-working and very caring, and without them, it would be impossible. They are the backbone of our facility and deserve much more than a week of treats, luncheons and gifts. We hope our STNAs felt extra loved and appreciated this week!
